ode for my hubby

I've written the original version of this poem for my husband  (then BF)for our 1st year Anniversary. It's kind of "too cheezy" for some but, for me, it's purely my expression of gratitude for Mel whose always been there holding my hand through the years. I modified some of the lines but the thought stays..
Here it goes...

Baby..

You are my warm blanket

My hush of soft wind amidst the storm

You’re my light over darkness

My guide, my home

You cheer for me at my best

Teach me at my worst

Drive me out from madness

Save me from this rude and cruel world

Never have I felt so special

Never have I felt so safe

With your embrace I could face my fears

With you my imperfections vanish

Tenderness from your hands' caress

Angels' kisses from your soft soft lips

Are my wall against this world's hatred

My featherbed against night's chill

Having you, I can welcome even death

For I know that what we have can transcend time, even space

My soul will always find you

Guided by your warmth, my heart will see you
